Thursday April 11th  Fishguard Folk Singers and Broadoak

Fishguard Folk Singers – Cantorion Gwerin Abergwaun are a group of friends who began singing together in 2015 almost by accident.
They all go to the regular Tuesday night folk club sessions in the Royal oak, but had not sung as group until the R.N.L.I. asked the club if any one could provide entertainment for their annual supper. They rehearsed some shanties and songs of the sea and went along to perform.
Since then they have sung at many events to raise funds for the annual Fishguard Folk Festival,
They have a varied repertoire including popular traditional shanties and sea songs,
including some in welsh and some self penned.

Broadoak is a Pembrokeshire-based folk trio comprising Chris and Peter Kay and Wendy Lewis, all experienced musicians with backgrounds and interests in many sorts of folk music (and indeed many sorts of music generally). Chris sings and plays piano and whistle, Wendy plays fiddle and sings, Peter plays various fretted instruments and sings.

May 2nd    Geoff Robb- winner of the 2018 Live Music Award at England’s largest Arts Festival ‘Brighton Fringe’.His solo show includes classical repertoire from Spain and Latin America alongside Celtic Airs but is mostly original guitar music and his 2019 shows will feature new compositions inspired by the trees of our ancient woodlands.Geoff’s beautiful meditative compositions blend his classical training with his love of Spanish and Celtic music. He has performed to audiences all over the UK and beyond at venues including Buckingham Palace and Glastonbury Festival. He performs on both steel string and nylon string guitars including a beautiful Maple guitar he built himself.    7.30     £10 in advance
